Birth Doula Profile - Jennifer Rogers

Jennifer Rogers

"Babies are such a nice way to start people"
-Don Herold (US cartoonist and humorist, 1889-1966)

Several years ago, when I gave birth to my two children, I had to argue with my physicians in order to have a natural childbirth. Nevertheless, I advocated on my own behalf and successfully delivered my babies without intervention. My own experiences were fulfilling beyond words. I have always looked upon my terms of pregnancy and birthing as among the best of my accomplishments.

My goal as a doula is to educate, inform and assist our clients to have the birthing experience they desire and expect, and to continue to support them as they begin parenting. I am so impressed with the options open to women today and I feel it is important for women to have real choices and to make informed decisions about their care. It is a privilege and honor for me to participate in such an intimate and special time in the life of a family.

On a personal level, I am a graduate of Smith College and Geneva School of Business. I have two adult children and two grandsons. My husband and I live in Andover, MA, and Bowerbank, ME. I am certified as a birth doula through DONA.
